Driving examiner strike 15 October 2014
If you’ve got a practical driving test on Wednesday 15 October 2014 it might be cancelled because some driving examiners who are members of the Public and Commercial Service Union are planning a strike. Theory driving tests are not affected.
You should still turn up for your test. If your test is cancelled due to strike action, DVSA will rebook your appointment at no extra cost and will contact you within 5-10 working days. You will be able to claim out-of-pocket expenses if it’s cancelled, but only if you turn up on the day. Click here to find out about claiming back expenses.
If you are concerned about wasting your time there’s still time to rebook without incurring a penalty – you have to give at least 3 working days’ notice, so you need to do it today. Click here to change the date of your test.
