{"id":1236,"date":"2014-07-17T07:00:54","date_gmt":"2014-07-17T07:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mocktheorytest.com\/resources\/?p=1236"},"modified":"2019-02-05T11:20:53","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T11:20:53","slug":"cheaper-learner-driver-tests-coming-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mocktheorytest.com\/resources\/cheaper-learner-driver-tests-coming-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheaper learner driver tests coming in October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cost of the driving theory test will be cut by 25%, saving learner drivers over \u00a3100 million over the next 9 years.<\/p>\n<p>The fee for a car driving theory test will fall by \u00a36 in October this year (2014), taking the cost of a test from \u00a331 to \u00a325, with a further drop of \u00a32 in October 2015 down to \u00a323.<\/p>\n<p>Theory test fees for motorcycles and other categories of vehicle will also be reduced (see table below). The changes have been confirmed following a public consultation, which you can read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/driving-theory-test-fee-changes\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DVSA Chief Executive, Alastair Peoples, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy agreeing new contract arrangements for the delivery of theory tests we have secured significant cost savings, and it is right that we pass these savings on to our customers.
