Recently we ran a <a href=\"http:\/\/mocktheorytest.com\/resources\/adi-survey-march-2014\/\" target=\"_blank\">survey of 1056 driving instructors<\/a> and 30.4% of them thought the current costs for getting a licence were too much. The proposal by DVSA is that the cost of the driving theory test could be cut by 25%, saving learner drivers \u00a314.5m a year.<\/p>\n<p>The plans would see the cost of a car driving theory test fall by \u00a36 in October this year, taking the cost of a test from \u00a331 to \u00a325, with a further drop of \u00a32 planned in October 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The government has an espoused commitment to reduce the cost of motoring and there are proposed reductions for car, motorcycle, bus and lorry theory tests.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">DVSA Chief Executive, Alastair Peoples, said:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy agreeing new contract arrangements for the delivery of theory tests we have secured significant cost savings, and it is right that we pass these savings on to our customers.
